Synopsis

Sol is an aspiring young rapper and musician who funds his studio sessions by selling drugs with life-long friend Wesley. Though he’s treated like a member of the family by Wesley’s mother and little sister Jessie, Sol decides to take a chance with a group of touring hip-hop musicians about to embark on a road trip across Texas. Leaving all he knows behind, Sol embarks on a musical odyssey across the state, getting to know his new companions and assessing his true aims in life.

Director's Biography

KATHERINE PROPPER

Katherine Propper is a writer-director born and raised in Los Angeles and currently based in Austin. Her feature directorial debut, LOST SOULZ premiered at the Tribeca FF 2023. Her 2022 short film BIRDS won the Grand Jury Prize at AFI Fest, a Special Jury Award for Vision at SXSW, and a Special Jury Prize in the International Competition at Clermont-Ferrand in France. Her 2019 short film STREET FLAME screened at the Tribeca FF.
