Synopsis

Anubhav, an 11-year-old boy from a prosperous family residing in Guwahati, faces the challenge of neglect due to his parents' busy schedules with their business. His father, Mr. Debajit, and mother, Rima, are often preoccupied, leaving Anubhav feeling isolated. When the school principal notifies Debajit about Anubhav's frequent absences from class, Debajit reacts with anger and resorts to physical punishment, causing Anubhav to flee from home. He seeks refuge in a Rabha community village, finding shelter with a Rabha family. Meanwhile, Debajit, desperate to find his son, places a high-reward advertisement in the newspaper. A village headman discovers the advertisement, which features Anubhav's photograph and address. Debajit and Rima swiftly journey to the village where they eventually reunite with Anubhav.

MALAY KUMAR ROY

Malay Kumar Roy, a native of Guwahati (Assam), India, embarked on his professional journey in the Assam Film Industry before expanding his horizons to Mumbai and Kolkata. Initially serving as an assistant in five Assamese films and subsequently as a chief assistant director in eight others, Roy also contributed to numerous TV serials for DOORDARSHAN. His portfolio includes involvement in a Rabha language film and two Bengali films as a chief assistant director. Roy's debut feature film, THE MISSING BOY, showcases his prowess as he not only directed but also penned the story and script, all in the Rabha Language.
